Workforce readiness opens doors.
To advance workforce readiness and economic opportunity for underserved learners through business-focused Arabic and English instruction, practical job-training workshops, and accessible online education, with priority given to women facing barriers to employment and economic participation.
Our Mission
To expand employment readiness and economic opportunity for underserved individuals, particularly women facing barriers to workforce participation, through practical workforce development programs that combine business-focused English and Arabic communication, job-training workshops, and professional skills education. Through accessible online instruction, educational scholarships, and targeted learner support, the organization equips participants with knowledge, communication skills, and practical competencies that can help them pursue employment, professional advancement, entrepreneurship, and greater economic participation.
What We Do
Flagship
Workforce Readiness
Prepares participants for employment and economic participation through structured language instruction, workplace skills development, and practical job-training workshops — business communication in English or Arabic (each participant follows one language pathway), workplace and professional skills, interview preparation and job readiness, and digital literacy workshops.
Online Learning Access
Reduces the practical barriers to joining workforce programs — flexible scheduling, online-learning orientation, and support navigating digital instruction — with initial attention to women for whom travel, family responsibilities, or scheduling limit classroom participation.
Educational Scholarships
Needs-based assistance for eligible participants facing financial barriers, covering approved costs of workforce readiness instruction and job-training workshops, awarded under documented, objective eligibility criteria.
Online, Philadelphia First
Programs are delivered entirely online by qualified instructors and facilitators. The Foundation serves learners in Philadelphia first, and in inner cities across the United States.
In Development: Women's Workforce Development Pilot
An eight-week online program for 20 women in two cohorts of 10, pairing one business-language pathway (English or Arabic) with structured workshops in job readiness, workplace communication, interview preparation, and digital literacy. Participation does not guarantee employment — it builds the communication skills, competencies, and confidence to pursue it.
